Welcome to the Maine Appalachian Trail Club (MATC) Media Center where professional journalists, editors and other members of the media can access press releases and information about the club.

The MATC manages and maintains the 267 miles of the Appalachian Trail in Maine to ensure optimal trail conditions for the roughly thousands of thru and day-use hikers. Founded in 1935, MATC is an all-volunteer, donor-supported nonprofit that welcomes new members and inspires respect for this natural treasure.
