Trail Volunteers Gathering

Drum roll please… MATC is excited to announce its Trail Volunteers Gathering on Saturday, February 4, 2023 at Camp Mechuwana in Winthrop (about 10 miles west of Augusta). This event has been on pause since February of 2020 so we are excited to share the return of this popular event. If you are a trail maintainer, campsite maintainer, boundary monitor or interested in becoming one of these, this event is for you!
Come to learn some tips of the trades, visit with fellow MATCer’s, receive updates on Club activities and opportunities, or learn what it’s like to be a maintainer or monitor. The full program will be sent after the first of the year, but it will showcase talks on trail maintenance, campsite maintenance, as well as boundary monitoring. We’re planning a few special topic sessions as well.
