Section of trail near Gulf Hagas – This section starts at the West Branch of the Pleasant River going north to the junction of the Gulf Hagas Cut-Off Trail plus the Gulf Hagas Cut-Off Trail for a total distance of 3 miles. Access to the section is from the Katahdin Iron Works Road. A maintainer is expected to visit their section 2 to 3 times a year, clearing blowdowns, cutting back bushes, painting blazes and cleaning water bars. Onsite training will be provided.
