Horseshoe Canyon Privy Prep

We're building a new privy at the Horseshoe Canyon campsite in July, and need your help! On July 9 we'll do the site prep including felling a couple of trees, digging to get a flat surface, and installing the base 4x6s. We are still exploring access to the campsite (the West Branch of the Piscataquis is posing challenges), so stay tuned!

Horseshoe Canyon Privy Haul and Build

We need your help building a new privy at the Horseshoe Canyon campsite on July 16-17! The privy was pre-built in April and is now packaged into ~150 bundles that are about 15-30 pounds. Volunteers are needed to shoulder this material to the campsite. It's about a 0.7 mile walk over flat terrain with 170 feet of elevation to the campsite. We are still scheming access (the West Branch of the Piscataquis River driving to be a challenge), so the access route may change.  Many hands make lighter work, and we need many hands for this project.
