We need your help building a new privy at the Horseshoe Canyon campsite on July 16-17! The privy was pre-built in April and is now packaged into ~150 bundles that are about 15-30 pounds. Volunteers are needed to shoulder this material to the campsite. It’s about a 0.7 mile walk over flat terrain with 170 feet of elevation to the campsite. We are still scheming access (the West Branch of the Piscataquis River driving to be a challenge), so the access route may change. Horseshoe Canyon Privy Prep
We’re building a new privy at the Horseshoe Canyon campsite in July, and need your help! On July 9 we’ll do the site prep including felling a couple of trees, digging to get a flat surface, and installing the base 4x6s. We are still exploring access to the campsite (the West Branch of the Piscataquis is posing challenges), so stay tuned!
