    Women's Work Weekend: Moose Falls Campsite/Bigelow Lodge Bigelow District Please join us on August 9 (Rain date August 10) to fix up the Moose Falls Campsite. We will be removing a hazardous tent platform and replacing it with an earthen pad. This work trip is open to women eager to explore trail maintenance in a friendly, supportive setting. Participants are invited to stay at the Bigelow Lodge for the weekend. One day will be dedicated to the project and the off day free for exploration and fun.   • Baldpate and Hall Mountain Campsites Privy Builds

    We're building new privies at the Baldpate and Hall Mountain campsites this summer, and need your help! The plan is for the materials to be helicoptered to these sites on one day in early August; we'll build them after that. Access to either campsite involves about 2.5 of miles of hiking with ~1,700 feet of elevation gain. Please join us! Those of you involved in past projects can attest to the camaraderie, satisfaction, and good fun with these projects!

  • Horns Pond Campsite Cleanup!

    Let’s make a difference where it matters most! Join us for a rewarding weekend of fresh air, stunning scenery, and meaningful action as we clean up the Horns Pond Campsite. It's the highest campsite in Maine, and over the years it has accumulated several generations of by-gone privies and other now unused items. This overnight trip will be to prepare the unwanted goods to be helicoptered out in 2026 (assuming we can secure the funds! Come help  leave the campsite better than we found it!
