Support Our Spring Appeal
Help MATC raise $15,000 to support continued trail, campsite, and boundary land operations.
As summer approaches, the Maine Appalachian Trail Club is gearing up for a busy season and working toward a $15,000 spring fundraising goal. We hope you’ll consider supporting this effort. MATC’s volunteers and seasonal workers maintain 267 miles of the Appalachian Trail, including the 100-Mile Wilderness, along with side trails, campsites, and surrounding lands.
Your generous gift will help ensure that the Appalachian Trail is preserved for future generations.
Please give today to help maintain and protect the Appalachian Trail, in Maine, a precious wilderness resource. Your tax-deductible gift, one-time or recurring, helps sustain our work. Donations can be made at www.matc.org/appeal or by check, credit card, or securities.
This summer and fall priorities include:
- Protecting sensitive environments through education and outreach
- Building three accessible, composting privies
- Improving trail conditions with expert stonework
- Co-hosting the Northeastern Alpine Stewardship Gathering
- Advancing the Maine Trail Center’s next phase of development

Many hikers report Maine is the best maintained
(and most rugged) section of the trail.
Your financial support is necessary for continued trail, campsite, and boundary land operations.
Thank you for your generous support!
